  • The Emu belongs to a group of flightless birds known as ratites. This group includes the Emu and other bird bredds like the Cassowary, Rhea, Ostrich, Moa, and Kiwi.

    The emu (Dromaius novahollandiae) is the second-largest living bird by height, after its retite relative, the ostrich. It is endemic to Austrialia Where it is the largest native bird and the only extant member of the genus Dromaius.

    And large paleognathea such as the ostrich, the emu and the cassowary, to which Heyuannia bears are resamblance, lay beautiful bg-dark blue and grean hued eggs. In mordern birds, blue and green eggs are caused by a pigment from the bird's bile clled Biliverdin

    Emus are omnivorouse, which means they eat a variety of plants and animals. Thier food choice depends on what is available; it can include leaves, greasses, fruits, native plants and insects, Emus seek out the most nutritiouse part of the plant to eat in other to help maintain their huge body weight.

    They are cream-coloured with dark brown stripes. The colouration helps to camouflage them from predators. This breed of birds called the Emu can leave for 5 to 10 years.
